Founded in 1986 by Nassau Presbyterian and Trinity Episcopal Church of Princeton, The Trenton After School Program provides much-needed educational enrichment to at-risk children in Trenton, New Jersey. Every child receives at least a 75% scholarship. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has earned national accreditation by the National Afterschool Association.
Today, thanks to board and community support, each day TASP touches the lives of over 160 children grades K through 8, including our new satellite program at Joyce Kilmer Elementary in Trenton.
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR POSITION FILLED
The Board of Directors for the Trenton After School Program is pleased to announce the appointment of Ralonda Ivy Smith as their new Executive Director. Ralonda will be replacing the long time executive director Tina Blackledge who is retiring after 18 years of building the accredited Trenton After School Program.
Tina Blackledge has been named Executive Director Emeritus by the Board of Directors in recognition of her years of service.

Our Mission
Through our after school and summer programs, we enrich children’s lives and build life skills through educational assistance in a creative and nurturing environment. TASP serves children, grades 1-8, in Trenton's West Ward.
Program Hours
Our after school program begins at 3:00pm with dismissal at 6:00pm, most school days. We follow the calendar for the Trenton public schools.
Summer enrichment is the month of July from 8:30am to 5:00pm.

More About TASP
TASP is a member of New Jersey School Age Care Coalition (NJSACC) and the National Afterschool Association (NAA) and licensed by New Jersey Division of Youth and Family Services (DYFS). TASP has been the only after school program serving at-risk children to be certified by NJSACC. TASP believes strongly in providing high quality services to our children and families.
TASP is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and is not part of the Trenton City Board of Education. Enrollment for grades one through eight is on a first-come first-served basis. TASP does not discriminate with regard to race, sex, religion, disability or national origin.
TASP's computer lab has been supported by the City of Trenton and the Kerney Foundation.
