A Typical Afternoon at TASP
Students are picked up each day from 3:00 to 3:45 by the TASP school bus and driven to Trinity Cathedral. There they are served a nutritious snack and enjoy some supervised free time on the playground. Then the focus is on homework, where any child who needs or desires it receives personal guidance and tutoring from a pool of local college student mentors and community volunteers.
In addition to doing homework, students rotate through a personalized schedule to activities such as computer lab, nutrition education, art, drama, music, digital photography, money management, playwriting and acting, games and puzzles, and more. TASP provides a varied enrichment program for student exploration and development. In addition, local experts and artists in fields such as art, photography, mathematics, computers and science often present special demonstrations and lectures.
Students are expected to be disciplined and considerate of others. TASP has high standards and high expectations for all students. All TASP staff are trained in proper discipline techniques.
TASP is a fun, uplifting place. You are welcome to join us – most school days from 3:00-6:00pm. Call Ralonda Ivy Smith at (609) 947-4679 to arrange a visit.
